    Flybe flight BE-6031 returned to Groningen, Netherlands, on December 19th.

    The plane took off for London Southend Airport, England, but had to turn back after the crew failed to retract the landing gear.

    Turkish Airlines Jet Diverts to Germany Over Bomb Threat

    turkishflagTurkish Airlines flight TK1617 had to divert and made an emergency landing in Nuremberg, Germany, on November 30.

    According to an airline spokesperson, “The aircraft operating Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul to Frankfurt flight today has diverted to Nuremberg due to a suspicious object found onboard.”

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 124 passengers remained safe.

    “The necessary investigation onboard is continuing and the decision concerning the continuation of the flight to Frankfurt will be finalized according the result of such investigation,” the spokesperson said.

    SkyWest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Grand Island, NE

    SkyWest Airlines flight OO-5215 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Grand Island, Nebraska, on April 18th.

    The plane heading from Omaha, Nebraska, to San Francisco, California, was diverted after the crew received an indication of an open door.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Benton County

    A 4-seater, Cirrus plane made an emergency landing on 15th Avenue NE in Langola Township, Benton County, Minnesota, near Rice, at about 1:45 p.m. on September 7.

    The incident happened when the plane was en route from the Mankato area to Breezy Point.

    According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the single-engine plane, which was heading to St. Cloud Regional Airport, landed in emergency due to some mechanical problems.

    None of the 4 people aboard, including the Pilot Craig Bureind, 52, of Chanhassen and his 3 passengers, suffered any injuries. The plane hit a telephone pole support wire during landing and was slightly damaged.

    The FAA will investigate the incident.

    Kuwait Airways Flight Returns to Mumbai due to Cabin Pressure Problems

    Kuwait Airways flight KU-304 had to return and make an emergency landing in Mumbai, India, on December 22nd.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Kuwait City, Kuwait, but had to turn back due to issues with cabin pressurization.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Flybe Plane makes Safe Landing in England due to Engine Shut Down

    Flybe flight BE-292 made a safe landing at Manchester Airport, England, UK, on May 26th.

    The de Havilland Dash 8-400 flying from Edinburgh, Scotland, was about to reach when the crew had to shut one of its engines down.

    The plane landed safely.
