    LGW Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Germany

    Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (LGW) flight AB-6838 had to make an emergency landing in Stuttgart, Germany, on January 5th.

    The plane flying from Dusseldorf, Germany, was on final approach when the crew received an unsafe gear indication.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Crashes in Lake Worth, FL; 2 Dead

    A small plane crashed in Lake Worth, Florida, on September 9th.

    The plane, carrying two people, was flying from Key West, Florida, when it crashed in John Prince Park.

    Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Boston

    Delta Airlines flight DL-72 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 29th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Atlanta, Georgia, to Amsterdam, Netherlands, was diverted after the crew noticed engine vibrations.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Denver to Toronto Returns after “pop” and smoke

    Where: Denver
    When: Nov 23rd 2011
    Who: 68 passenger
    Why: While climbing out of Denver, passengers and crew smelled smoke in the cabin.

    A newscast said that passengers heard a “pop” before the pilots turned around and returned to the Denver airport.

    They made a safe landing. Passengers disembarked on the runway and were provided an alternative flight.

    Small Plane Crash-Lands in San Luis Obispo County

    small planeA small plane crash landed on a private property near Gifford Ranch Road, south of Highway 166 in San Luis Obispo County, California, on January 16.

    The authorities said the pilot reported engine troubles and informed San Luis Obispo Airport authorities that he would try to make an emergency landing at Highway 166. However, the communication was then disrupted and the plane was found in an upside down position in a riverbed near the highway.

    There were 2 people aboard the plane at the time of incident; both of them remained uninjured. They were identified as the pilot John Charles Butler, 76, of Phoenix, Arizona and his passenger Pamela Butler Zirion, 67, of San Luis Obispo.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    Borrowed Heli Hit by Wind


    On Jan 30, 2013, a Pennsylvania State Police Bell B206 was returning from searching for a missing snowmobiler at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe when strong 60 mph winds blew it over.

    The helicopter had landed and had been tied down for fueling when the wind blew it over.

    The chopper was borrowed from Altuna and is currently out of service.

    No one was injured except the helicopter.
