Pilot Injured After Small Plane Crashes in West Jordan, Utah

A small plane crashed in field in West Jordan, Utah, on August 24th.

The plane went down shortly after taking off from South Valley Regional Airport. Authorities said it struck multiple power lines and sparked a small grass fire.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital.

Aerosucre Flight Rejects Takeoff From Bogota

An Aerosucre flight had to reject takeoff from Bogota, Colombia, on August 23rd.

The Boeing 737-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Puerto Carreno, Colombia, when the crew noticed a blown nose tire and rejected takeoff.

The plane became disabled on the runway. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Alitalia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Italy

Alitalia flight AZ-1531 had to return and make an emergency landing in Cagliari, Italy, on August 22nd.

The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Linate Airport, Italy, but had to turn back after the crew noticed an issue with one of the engines and decided to shut it down.

The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and sixty-seven passengers and six crew members remained safe.

United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Newark

United Airlines flight UA-956 had to return and make an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, on June 12th.

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Geneva, Switzerland, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an equipment cooling issue.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

The plane was a replacement for the original aircraft assigned for the flight, which had returned earlier due to loss of cabin pressure.

Helicopter Crash in India Kills One; Two Injured

A helicopter lost its balance and crashed while taking-off from Himalayan shrine of Badrinath, Uttarakhand, India, on June 10th.

The accident happened due to insufficient air pressure.

A crew member lost his life while the two pilots sustained injuries in the crash. All five passengers remained safe.

The crash remains under investigation.
