PIA Plane Overruns Runway at Panjgur Airport

Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-517 overran the end of the runway on landing at Panjgur Airport, Pakistan, on November 10th.

The incident happened after the plane coming from Karachi, Pakistan, burst a tire during landing.

The plane came to stop on soft ground.

There were fifty-four people aboard at the time; all of them remained uninjured.

UTAir Flight Overruns Runway in Sochi, Russia; 18 Injured

UTAir flight UT-579 overran the end of the runway on landing in Sochi, Russia, on September 1st.

The incident happened when the Boeing 737-800 plane was coming from Moscow, Russia.

The plane came to stop in a river bed off the runway and its left engine caught fire.

There were one hundred and seventy people aboard at the time; eighteen of them were injured.

An airport worker died after having a heart attack at the scene of the incident.

Vietnam Airlines Plane makes Hard Landing in Vietnam

Vietnam Airlines flight VN-7344 made a hard landing at Cam Ranh International Airport, Cam Ranh, Vietnam, on April 29th.

The Airbus A321-200 flying from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was cleared to land on runway 20R, but it touched down on runway 20L which was under construction.

The plane rolled out, and its engines sucked a few objects from the runway.

All 203 passengers aboard remained safe.

Avior Airlines Flight Overruns Runway in Ecuador

Avior Airlines flight 9V-1260 overran the end of the runway at Jose Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport, Ecuador, on March 3rd.

The incident happened when the Boeing 737-400 plane was coming from Barcelona, Venezuela.

The plane came to stop on soft ground.

All ninety-nine passengers aboard remained uninjured.

United Airlines Flight Overruns Runway at Green Bay-Austin Straubel International Airport

United Airlines flight UA-878 overran the end of the runway during landing at Green Bay-Austin Straubel International Airport, Wisconsin, on February 23rd.

The Boeing 737-900 plane, flying from Madison, Wisconsin, was originally scheduled for Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, the pilots decided to divert to Green Bay due to bad weather in Minneapolis.

The plane came to stop about 250 feet off the runway.

All one hundred eighty passengers and seven crew members remained uninjured.
