Garuda Indonesia Plane Overruns Runway at Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Garuda Indonesia flight GA-210 overran the end of the runway on landing at Adisutjipto International Airport in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on November 25th.

The incident happened when the Boeing 737-800 plane was coming from Jakarta, Indonesia.

All one hundred and fifty-three people aboard remained unharmed.

Garuda Indonesia Flight Bursts Tires on Landing at Kualanamu International Airport

Garuda Indonesia flight GA-190 burst left hand main tires after landing at Kualanamu International Airport, Indonesia, on June 11th.

The incident happened when the Boeing 737-800 plane was coming from Jakarta, Indonesia.

The plane became disabled on the taxiway.

All one hundred and sixty-two passengers and seven crew members remained unharmed.

Garuda Plane Veers off Runway in Indonesia

Garuda flight GA-258 made a hard landing at Adisutjipto International Airport, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on February 1st.

The Boeing 737-800 flying from Jakarta, Indonesia, veered off the runway upon landing and stopped with all gears.

The aircraft was damaged.

No injuries were reported.

Garuda Flight Landed in Emergency after Wing Damage

GarudaGaruda flight GA 698 had to make an emergency landing at Frans Kaisiepo Airport in Biak, Papua, Indonesia, on January 26.

The flight, heading from Manokwari to Sentani Airport, Jayapura, had to declare emergency after one of its wings got damaged.

According to the Head of Sentani Airport, Herson, the technicians in Biak found black smoke coming from the left wing of the plane. He added, “It is suspected that the flight was struck by lightning.”

Some passenger reported that the flight was postponed till Tuesday.

Indonesia: Plane Stuck in the Mud

On January 3, 2013, a Garuda Indonesia Bombardier CRJ-600-2E25 en route from Sorong Airport to Renani Airport suffered a runway excursion after landing.

The number of passengers aboard was not release.

No one was injured and the plane didn’t suffer any damage but it did get stuck.

The pilots apparently tried to turn on the runway and its nose wheel got mired.
