    Jet Airways Flight Diverts to Ahmedabad due to Cargo Smoke Indication

    Jet Airways flight 9W-2074 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Ahmedabad, India, on November 21st.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Udaipur to Mumbai, India, was diverted due to a cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and eleven passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    PIA Flight Makes Safe Landing After Bird Strike

    Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-719 made a safe landing following a bird strike in Milan, Italy, on January 28th.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane flying from Lahore, Pakistan, was on approach to Milan–Malpensa Airport when a bird hit it.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. There were 125 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    Turkish Crash Kills Two in Aegean Sea


    What: Turkish Air Force Cessna T-37C Tweet
    Where: Aegean Sea off the coast of Güzelbahçe, Turkey
    When: July 14, 2011, noon
    Who: 2 aboard
    Why: The Turkish Airforce flight fell into the Aegean Sea, killing both the pilot and passenger. The Cessna is normally used for training. The flight took off from the Jet Base Flight Training Center but it has not been released if this was a training exercise. The pilot and passenger have not yet been recovered.

    Pia Emergency Landing in Iran

    On January 4, 2013, a Pia Airbus A310-324 en route from Kuwait to Lahore with 198 passengers aboard diverted to Kerman Airport, Iran.

    The plane was en route when it developed a hydraulics problem and diverted to Kerman Airport, according to http://www.aerocenter.ir/forum/thread22299.html#post104898

    The flight left Kerman Airport and flew to Karachi where they made a safe landing.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Phoenix

    American Airlines flight AA-692 had to return and make an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 27th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Honolulu, Hawaii, but had to turn back due to a mechanical issue.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and seventy passengers and ten crew members remained unharmed.
