    ANA Wings Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

    ANA Wings flight NH-1822 had to make an emergency landing in Nagoya, Japan, on April 25th.

    The plane flying from Matsuyama, Japan, was descending toward Nagoya when the crew entered a hold reporting a hydraulic failure.

    The plane subsequently landed safely and was towed to the apron.

    There were 57 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Wings Abadi Plane Veers off Runway in Indonesia due to Rain

    Wings Abadi flight IW-1896 veered off the runway at Achmad Yani International Airport, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, on December 25th.

    The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A flying from Bandung landed safely on the runway but veered off and came to a stop with its right main gear collapsed.

    The aircraft received substantial damage.

    No injuries were reported.

    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Pennsylvania

    A small plane made an emergency landing at Lancaster Airport in Lititz, Pennsylvania, on October 25th.

    The pilot of the twin-engine Beechcraft BE58 plane declared an emergency after it hit a deer on take-off from the Wings Field Airport, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, resulting in damage to the landing gear.

    The plane landed safely. All 4 people aboard remained unhurt.

    AtlasGlobal Plane Returns to Turkey due to Fuel Leakage

    AtlasGlobalAtlasGlobal flight 8Q-807 had to return and make a precautionary landing at Antalya Airport, Antalya, Turkey, on August 14th.

    The Airbus A321-200 en-route to Paderborn, Germany, had to return shortly after the crew was informed that there was fluid leaking out of one of its wings.

    The plane landed safely. All people onboard remained unharmed.

    The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

    Small Plane Crash Lands in Golf Course in Kansas

    A small plane crash landed in Tallgrass Golf Course, Greenleaf Court, Wichita, Kansas, on March 18.

    The Mooney M20C, heading from Nashville to Jabara Airport, had some problem with its engine when the pilot decided to land in emergency.

    The plane received major damage to its wings.

    Both the pilot and one passenger survived but suffered from injuries of varying intensities.

    Cessna Makes Emergency Landing on Key Biscayne Golf Course

    A Cessna 150 aircraft made an emergency landing on a golf course in Key Biscayne, Florida, on October 26.

    The plane was en-route from Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport to Miami Executive Airport when the pilot noticed an engine problem and decided to make an emergency landing at Crandon Golf course.

    The plane struck some palm trees while landing and sustained damage to one of its wings.

    The pilot and his only passenger remained uninjured.

    The aircraft is owned by a company in Wilmington, Delaware.

    Southwest Jets Clip Each Other at Bob Hope Airport

    southwest_airlines_logoTwo Southwest Airlines jets were involved in an accident at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, on June 6.

    Southwest Flight 2183 was parked at the gate when Flight 4721 that was pushing back from the gate, clipped wings with it.

    All the passengers were disembarked safely and both aircrafts were taken for inspection. An airline spokesperson said, “Our employees are working as quickly as possible to re-accommodate all customers… Safety is our number one focus and we will conduct an internal review to identify the details surrounding event.”

    The FAA is investigating.

    6ft Part of Wing Came Loose; CityJet Plane Makes Emergency Landing in London

    CityJetOn May 15, a CityJet flight en route from London to Florence had to return and make an emergency landing after a part of its wing became partially detached.

    According to a CityJet spokesperson, “The WX 281 flight had just taken off from London City Airport on its way to Florence when the cover of the operating mechanism on the wing became partially detached…The crew followed their standard procedures and, after a discussion with CityJet Maintenance Control, decided to return to London City Airport.”

    The Avro RJ85 aircraft carrying 61 passengers made an uneventful emergency landing at the London City Airport. No injuries were reported.

    The passengers were taken to their destination on another aircraft.
