    Indian Air Force Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing due to Technical Snag

    An Indian Air Force helicopter had to make an emergency landing in a field in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, on February 19th.

    The MI 8 helicopter was heading from Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru, Karnataka to Sulur Air Force Station, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, when the pilot decided to land in emergency due to a technical snag.

    The chopper landed safely in a field near Koppa Gate of Bannerghatta, Bengaluru.

    Crashed Plane Located

    The missing Ace Air Cargo/Alaska Central Express Beech 1900 freight flight from King Salmon to Dillingham was located wrecked twenty miles from the airport in Muklung Hills.

    At about 9:15 a.m., an emergency locator beacon had begun transmitting a signal.

    The plane crashed in rough terrain in stormy weather. The two aboard were reported as fatalities.

    TransAsia Plane Lands on One Engine Due to Oil Leak

    TransAsiaA TransAsia Airways plane, performing flight GE505, had to land with only one engine at Magong Airport, Penghu County, Taiwan, on September 8.

    The pilot of the ATR 72-500 aircraft, en-route from Taipei Songshan to Magong, had to shut the right engine down after he detected an oil leak.

    The plane landed safely.

    There were 22 passengers and 4 crew members onboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Scandinavian Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at SFO

    SASScandinavian Airlines Flight 0936 had to return and make an emergency landing at San Francisco International Airport, California, at around 8 p.m. on June 19.

    The plane was diverted after the pilot reported smoke coming out of the cockpit. The flight was heading to Copenhagen, Denmark at the time.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Authorities said the smoke had vanished before landing.

    TAM Linhas Aereas Plane Returns to Salvador after Bird Strike

    TAMTAM Linhas Aereas flight JJ-3517 had to return and make an emergency landing at Deputado Luis Eduardo Magalhaes International Airport, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil on April 1st.

    The Airbus A321-200, en-route from Salvador to Brasilia, was climbing out of runway when one of the plane’s engines ingested a bird, prompting the plane to return.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 108 passengers onboard remained unharmed.

    China Southern Airlines Plane Returns to Auckland due to Engine Failure

    China AirlinesChina Southern Airlines flight CZ366 had to return and make an emergency landing at Auckland Airport, New Zealand, on November 5th.

    The Boeing 787 plane took off for Guangzhou, China, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an engine failure.

    The plane landed safely. All 212 people aboard remained unharmed.
