Small Plane Crashes in Florida due to Mechanical Issue

A small plane crashed into a marshy area near Orlando Apopka Airport, Orange County, Florida, on the night of December 30th.

The Cessna 400 had to abort its landing after spotting a deer on the runway. The plane faced mechanical issue after turning around.

The plane sustained significant damage.

The 61-year old pilot was taken to a nearby hospital for first aid.

Small Plane Crashes in Indiana; 3 People, 1 Dog Killed

A small plane crashed in a wooded area near Oldenburg, Indiana, on December 16th.

The incident happened when the single-engine Cessna plane was heading from Kansas City, Missouri, to Frederick, Maryland.

Three people were killed in the crash. Authorities said two dogs were also on-board; one of them was killed while the one survived.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

3 Injured After Small Plane Crashes into a San Jose Home

A small plane crashed into a home in San Jose, California, on November 19th.

The Cessna 172 crashed shortly after taking off from Reid–Hillview Airport.

Small Plane Crashed in Wyoming; 3 Injured

A small plane crashed near Rock Springs–Sweetwater County Airport, Wyoming, on November 15th.

It is believed that the single-engine Cessna 207 plane, carrying four people, experienced mechanical issues before it went down.

Three occupants of the plane were injured in the crash. They were taken to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.

Small Plane Crashes in Northwestern Minnesota; 3 Killed

A small plane crashed in Pennington County, Minnesota, on September 23rd.

Authorities said the single-engine Cessna 182 plane went down near Thief River Falls.

The plane was carrying three people at the time; all of them were killed in the crash. The deceased were identified as Moy Wing, 69, Brian Duke, 27, and Zach Ostertag, 26.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

Two Killed in Small Plane Crash in Yavapai County, AZ

A small plane crashed in Yavapai County, Arizona, on September 22nd.

Authorities said the single-engine Cessna plane went down shortly after departing Prescott Municipal Airport.

There were two men aboard at the time; both were killed in the crash. They were identified as Jeremiah Linnertz, 19, and Spencer Kihlstrom, 19.

Cape Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Adirondack Regional Airport

Cape Air flight 1815 made an emergency landing at Adirondack Regional Airport in Franklin County, New York, on August 25th.

The Cessna 402 plane heading from Albany International Airport to Ogdensburg Regional Airport, New York, was diverted after the crew noticed an engine issue and a whiff of smoke in the cabin.

The plane landed safely. All five passengers aboard remained unharmed.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing Near Eagle County Regional Airport

A six-seater Cessna Centurion plane made an emergency landing near Eagle County Regional Airport in Gypsum, Colorado, on June 30th.

The plane flying from Montrose, Colorado, was on approach to the Eagle County airport when its engine failed.

The pilot subsequently declared an emergency and landed on McGregor road.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unharmed.

Light Plane Crashes in South Australia; 3 Killed

A light plane crashed near the Renmark Aerodrome, Old Calperum, South Australia, on the evening of May 30th.

The Cessna 441 Conquest II was on a routine crew check flight at the time.

All three pilots were killed in the crash.

The decreased were identified as Paul Daw, 65, Martin Scott, 48, and Stephen Guerin, 56.

Air Services Limited Plane Crash-Lands in Guyana

An Air Services Limited plane crash-landed at Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Guyana, on March 27th.

The incident happened when Cessna 172 plane was performing a training flight.

There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot and a trainee; both of them remained unharmed.

Authorities said the plane’s landing gear sustained damage in the incident.

Four Killed After Small Plane Crashed in Blount County, Alabama

A Cessna 210 plane crashed in Hayden, Blount County, Alabama, on March 25th.

Authorities said the plane was heading from Kissimmee, Florida, to Jackson, Tennessee, when it went down.

Four people were killed in the crash, including a 45-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman,
a 16-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl. They are believed to be family members.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

The pilot Craig McDonald, of Columbia, Maryland, said he decided to make an emergency landing after his single-engine Cessna 162 plane lost power. He remained unharmed in the incident.

The plane was flying from Lancaster Airport, Pennsylvania, to Carroll County Regional Airport, Maryland, at the time.

The Cessna plane, carrying three people, was on an instructional flight when it went down on a mountainside.

A 20-year-old woman was killed in the crash while two other people were injured.

The single engine Cessna 172 plane, carrying two people, took off from Sacramento and was heading to the Bay Area when it went down.

The passenger was killed in the crash while the pilot sustained serious injuries.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Florida; No Injuries Reported

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Mike Jachles, “When that airplane came down into the swamp, the two men told our firefighters that the nose gear head caused the plane to flip over.”

The Cessna 550 plane flying from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Meridian, Mississippi, was diverted after it lost oil pressure in one of the engines, causing a loss of cabin pressure.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Pilot Killed after Small Plane Crashes in Alaska

A small plane crashed near the town of Butte in Alaska, on October 29th.

Authorities said the Cessna 172 plane crashed into a Knik River gravel bar.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as 25-year-old Ray Justen.

According to Alaska National Transportation Safety Board chief Clint Johnson, “Witnesses said this airplane came in, made a touch-and-go on a gravel bar and during a fairly steep climb out there was an aerodynamic stall…The airplane descended nose-first and struck the gravel bar.”
