    Cathay Dragon Flight Returns to Hong Kong due to Landing Gear Issue

    Cathay Dragon flight KA-618 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on April 24th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Xiamen, China, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with the landing gear.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    What: Sabang Merauke Raya C-212-100 Aviocar en route from Batam to Batam
    Where: Bintan Island, Indonesia
    When: Feb 12th 2011
    Who: 5 aboard (flight crew of 2, 3 techs)
    Why: The plane had just undergone maintenance (engine replacement) and was on a test flight with 5 crew members aboard.

    Thirty minutes after takeoff, the plane disappeared from radar. The last contact was at 13:41 when the crew contacted Tanjung Pinang Approach.

    The plane crashed.

    Iberia Express Flight Rejects Take Off From Lanzarote, CI

    Iberia Express flight I2-3857 had to reject take off from Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain, on January 16th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Madrid, Spain, when the crew decided to reject take off to check some aircraft systems.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    BMI Diverts to Manchester

    What: BMI British Midland Airbus A320-200 en route from London to Edinburgh
    Where: Manchester
    When: Nov 9th 2009
    Who: 147 passengers and 6 crew
    Why: While en route, although the crew got a cabin pressure warning, masks did not deploy. The plane diverted to Manchester where it landed safely, and the problem was judged to be a faulty indicator.

    A replacement Airbus was provided.

    New York Bound Delta Plane Diverts to Washington due to Engine Issue

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Air Lines flight 1086 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Baltimore–Washington International Airport, Maryland, Washington, at around 10:30 A.M. on September 30.

    The McDonnell Douglas MD-90 aircraft, flying from Atlanta, Georgia, to New York, had to be landed in emergency after some issue with one of its engines.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    All 109 passengers aboard remained safe.

    IndiGo Plane Suffers Tail Strike on Landing at Vijayawada Airport, India

    IndiGo flight 6E-7204 suffered a tail strike during landing at Vijayawada Airport, India, on March 28th.

    The incident happened when the plane was coming from Bangalore, India.

    The plane rolled out uneventfully.

    All passengers and crew members remained safe.
