What: BMI British Midland Airbus A320-200 en route from London to Edinburgh
Where: Manchester

Who: 147 passengers and 6 crew
Why: While en route, although the crew got a cabin pressure warning, masks did not deploy. The plane diverted to Manchester where it landed safely, and the problem was judged to be a faulty indicator.
A replacement Airbus was provided.
Southwest Airlines flight 118 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Amarillo, Texas, on March 18th.
The plane heading from Phoenix, Arizona, to Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted after it lost cabin pressure.
The plane landed safely.
“The flight was met by Emergency personnel, and initial reports do not indicate any injuries to Customers or Crew,” the airline said.
EasyJet flight U2-6819 made an emergency landing at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport, Germany, on October 4th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Glasgow, Scotland, was descending toward Berlin Schoenefeld Airport when the crew requested emergency assistance due to a burning odor in the cockpit.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
China Southern Airlines flight CZ-6763 made an emergency landing in Shenzhen, China, on January 9th.
The plane took off for Luoyang, China, but had to turn back due to an issue with the communication system.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: Brit Air/Air France Canadair CRJ-100 en route from Paris Orly to Rodez
Where: Paris
When: Dec 16th 2009
Who: 22 passengers
Why: After takeoff, the left engine made several explosive noises, and the plane vibrated. The crew turned the plane around and landed safely at Orly. Passengers were rebooked, provided accommodations and further delayed by snow.

What: Air Canada de Havilland Dash 8-300 en route from Vancouver,BC to Kelowna,BC
Where: Vancouver
When: Jul 25th 2010
Who: 35 aboard
Why: While en route after takeoff, observers witnessed a piece of the plane fall off the plane and on to the runway. The part was determined to be a hydraulic hand pump handle. The decision was made to continue to Kelowna, where the plane landed safely and was examined.
Maintenance discovered the right engine nacelle missing. After maintenance, on return to Vancouver, the missing parts were replaced.
Cathay Pacific flight CX-253 made an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on May 21st.
The Boeing 777-300 plane took off for Heathrow Airport, England, but had to turn back after the crew noticed a cracked windshield.
The plane landed back safely. There were 270 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
