    NTSB investigating fatal crash of Experimental B525 Helicopter

    Two pilots died in the crash of the experimental Bell Helicopter 525 Relentless at 11:45 today. The names of the two pilots killed in the crash have not been released.

    The helicopter crashed 45 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The FAA is en route, and the NTSB is investigating.

    Boeing Runway Overrun in Moscow, No Injuries


    A Nordstar Airlines Boeing 737086J en route from Rhodes to Moscow Domodedovo made it to Moscow but skidded off the runway on the landing.

    None of the 170 passengers aboard were hurt.

    The passengers descended on “soft” grass on portable stairs. There was no visible damage to the plane. After the passengers disembarked, the plane was towed.

    Emergency services responded to assist.

    Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Flaps Problem

    Jet2 flight LS-444 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Manchester, England, on August 24th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Heraklion, Greece, to Leeds, England, was diverted due to a flaps problem.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Paraguay

    Air France flight AF-229 made an emergency landing in Asuncion, Paraguay, on December 19th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane heading from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, was diverted due to an unusual odor on-board.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and seventy-four people aboard remained unharmed.

    It is believed that the odor was caused due to overheating of an electrical component.

    Bird-Struck Helicopter Makes Emergency landing Along Hudson River

    HelicopterA bird-struck helicopter had to land in emergency at the West 30th Street heliport on the Hudson River, New York City, on the afternoon of October 3.

    According to the FAA, the Bell B407 helicopter was hit by a bird while it was some 6 miles west-southwest of LaGuardia Airport.

    The helicopter belongs to an aerial tour company. According to the General manager Kathleen Wiig, the incident happened when the helicopter was flying at around 1,500 feet and that the protocol requires immediate landing in such situations.

    There were 7 people on-board at the time of incident, none of them required any medical attention.

    The FAA is investigating.
