    Kochi-Delhi Flight Lands in Emergency at Bangalore

    airindia2A New Delhi-bound Air India Flight from Kochi had to divert and make an emergency landing at Bangalore airport on the night of June 30.

    The incident happened after a female passenger sent an SMS to her husband after checking in, saying that she had seen high security at the airport and there might be a bomb. The husband immediately contacted the Kochi airport authorities and reported that his wife had sent an SMS that a bomb had been planted on the flight. The authorities informed the pilot who diverted the flight AI-047 towards Bangalore and landed in emergency.

    The plane landed safely and everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    Authorities said that a case may be registered against the woman and her husband.

    Delta Airlines Flight Diverts to Canada After Medical Emergency

    Delta Airlines flight DL-44 made an emergency landing at St. John’s International Airport, Canada, on January 31st.

    The plane heading from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, to Dublin, Ireland, was diverted after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.

    A Travel Service Boeing 737-8Q8 (WL) en route from Bourgas to Pardubice in the Czech Republic landed in Pardubice in heavy ran.

    The business travel flight from Bulgaria land on Sunday around 5:00 p.m.. None of the 191 passengers sustained injury when the plane aquaplaned on the runway.

    Passengers exited via sstairs.

    The plane is undamaged, but an investigation is ongoing.

    Passengers scheduled on the plane’s next flight were provided bus transportation to Prague to a waiting plane.

    LATAM Brasil Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cargo Smoke Indication

    LATAM Airlines Brasil flight JJ-3067 had to make an emergency landing in Brasilia, Brazil, on March 3rd.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Recife, Brazil, was descending toward Brasilia when the crew declared an emergency due to a cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Who: 54 aboard
    Why: As pilots were flying from Cartagena, Colombia to Fort Lauderdale, the plane developed problems and the pilots had to divert the flight. According to one source, one of the engines developed problems and was shut down. (Reports vary on the exact nature of the issue behind the diversion.)

    Pilots diverted to Palm Beach International Airport where they made a safe landing.
