The plane heading from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, to Dublin, Ireland, was diverted after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane landed safely.
Allegiant Air flight G4-679 had to return and make an emergency landing at Springfield-Branson National Airport, Missouri, on July 3rd.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 flying to Orlando, Florida, had to return due to engine failure.
The plane landed safely.
All 153 people aboard remained unhurt.

While en route, cabin filled with the scent of burnt plastic. The crew decided to divert to Las Vegas, where the cause was determined to be a light bulb. One passenger debarked in Las Vegas before the flight continued on to Los Angeles.
Aer Lingus flight EI-778 had to return for an emergency landing in Dublin, Ireland, on December 13th.
The plane took off for Lanzarote, Spain, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported a technical issue.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 126 people aboard remained safe.
Iberia Express flight IB-3842 had to return and make an emergency landing in Madrid, Spain, on September 18th.
The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for La Palma Airport, Spain, but had to turn back due to a bird strike.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Ural Airlines flight U6-2768 made an emergency landing at Domodedovo International Airport, Russia, on November 21.
The Airbus A321-200 was flying from Chisinau, Moldavia, when on final approach, the crew reported an unsafe gear and requested an emergency landing.
The plane landed safely and was towed to the apron. All 112 people aboard remained unharmed.
Southwest Airlines Flight WN-2869 had to return and make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado, at 5:58 p.m. on July 5.
The Boeing 737-800, en-route to Los Angeles International Airport, had to return due a “performance issue with one of the tires”. It is believed that one of the aircraft’s tires blew during take off.
The plane made a rough landing at the airport, however, all 183 people aboard remained safe.
The passengers were later transported in a replacement plane
