South African Airways Flight Returns to JFK Airport

southafricanairwaysSouth African Airways flight SA-204 had to return and make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on December 3rd.

The plane took off for Johannesburg, South Africa, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew failed to retract the flaps.

The plane dumped excess fuel before it landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Air New Zealand Plane Returns to Argentina due to Landing Gear Issue

Air New Zealand flight NZ-31 had to return and make an emergency landing at Ministro Pistarini International Airport, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on February 8.

The Boeing 777-200, en-route to Auckland, New Zealand, had to return after it could not retract it’s landing gear. The plane had to dump fuel before landing.

The plane landed safely.

No one was injured.

Delta Airlines Plane Returns to Amsterdam after Engine Shut Down

The Boeing 747-400, en-route to Atlanta, Georgia, had to make an emergency landing when the crew had to shut an engine down due to low oil pressure.

The plane returned safely after dumping fuel.

No injuries were reported.
