    AA Flight Returns to Jacksonville International Airport due to Mechanical Issue

    American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight 1373 had to return and make an emergency landing at Jacksonville International Airport, Florida, on November 12.

    The MD-80 plane took off for Dallas, Texas, but had to return shortly afterwards after the pilot reported a mechanical problem.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 140 passengers and 5 crew members remained unhurt.

    Azur Air flight ZF-973 made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on January 6th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Moscow, Russia, to La Romana, Dominican Republic, was diverted after all the lavatories got blocked.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Avior Airlines Flight Overruns Runway in Ecuador

    Avior Airlines flight 9V-1260 overran the end of the runway at Jose Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport, Ecuador, on March 3rd.

    The incident happened when the Boeing 737-400 plane was coming from Barcelona, Venezuela.

    The plane came to stop on soft ground.

    All ninety-nine passengers aboard remained uninjured.

    Loganair Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Aberdeen Airport

    LoganairLoganair BE6916 made an emergency landing at Aberdeen International Airport in Scotland, United Kingdom, on November 10.

    It is believed that the plane, en-route from from Glasgow to Sumburgh, was diverted due to a potential engine issue. According to an airline spokesperson, “Following a cautionary indication the captain elected to shutdown the aircraft’s right engine and diverted to Aberdeen airport.”

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 10 passengers and 3 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    The passengers were accommodated in another flight.

    American Airlines Flight Diverts to Phoenix After Hydraulic Leak

    American Airlines flight AA-1799 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 12th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Charlotte, North Carolina, to San Francisco, California, was diverted due to a hydraulic leak.

    The plane landed safely. There were 160 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    UTairThe Boeing 737-800 (Pegasus Airlines) en-route from Turkey to Russia, was about to land maintaining FL-120 route, however, it descended to FL-110. The Boeing 737-500 (UTAir) was about to take-off from FL-110 for Grozny, Russia, at the time.

    Both aircrafts landed safely at their destinations.
