    United Airlines Flight Diverts to Denver due to Odor on Board

    United Airlines flight UA-1640 made an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado, on September 18th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Los Angeles, California, to Newark, New Jersey, was diverted after an odor was noticed on board.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Emergency Slide Unit Fell Off Midair; Thomas Cook Flight Makes Emergency Landing

    Thomas CookThomas Cook flight TCX1638 had to return and make an emergency landing at Gatwick airport in West Sussex, UK, on October 31.

    The Boeing 757-3CQ departed from the airport at around 9 a.m. and was heading to Hurghada, Egypt, when its emergency slide unit fell off. The pilot was then instructed to turn back and land at Gatwick.

    The flight landed safely and all 237 passengers remained unharmed. The passengers were shifted to another flight.

    It is believed that the emergency slide fell near the border of Kent and East Sussex. The local police were informed and they sent search teams to spot the unit.

    Thomas Cook and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch are investigating.

    Copa Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Panama City

    Copa Airlines flight CM-358 had to return and make an emergency landing in Panama City, Panama, on January 31st.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Guatemala City, Guatemala, but had to turn back after a bird strike caused engine issues.

    The plane landed back safely. All one hundred and fifty-one people aboard remained unharmed.

    Royal Jordanian Airlines Flight Diverts to Rome due to Medical Emergency

    Royal Jordanian AirlinesA Royal Jordanian Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Rome, Italy, on April 11th.

    The plane, heading from Amman, Jordan, to Chicago, was diverted after a passenger became sick mid-air.

    The plane landed uneventfully. The passenger was rushed to hospital.

    The flight resumed shortly afterwards.

    Electrical Odor Forces United Airlines Jet to Make Emergency Landing

    United Airlines BoeingUnited Airlines flight 328 from Denver to Honolulu made an emergency landing in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the afternoon of July 25.

    The Boeing 777 with 269 passengers and 10 crew members aboard was forced to make emergency landing due to an “electrical odor,” according to airline spokeswoman Jennifer Dohm.

    The plane landed safely and no one was hurt.

    The aircraft was taken for inspection by the airline’s maintenance team.

    2 Injured in a Private Helicopter Crash in Central Ohio

    helicopterA private helicopter crashed into a Delaware County field, central Ohio at about 12:45pm on Thursday, April 24.

    According to Lt. Craig Cvetan, spokesperson of the State Highway Patrol, the helicopter was carrying two passengers; Henry Brecher, 81 and Todd Cramer, 50. Both of them were injured in the incident.

    The injured were flown to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center through a medical helicopter. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

    The 2006 Rotorway International, EXEC 162F helicopter also set fire to the 10 acre field where it crashed.

    The authorities are investigating the cause of crash.
