Who: 177 passengers and crew
Why: the pilot notified Shannon Airport control tower that it had a tire problem, performed a flyby to verify the condition of the landing gear, and then landed without further problems.

    On January 12, 2013, a Jetblue Airbus A320 was en route from New York to the Dominican Republic when they suffered a bird strike.

    The pilots returned to the airport where they made a safe landing with emergency services on standby. No injuries were reported among the 139 passengers.

    Cessna Makes Emergency Landing on Key Biscayne Golf Course

    A Cessna 150 aircraft made an emergency landing on a golf course in Key Biscayne, Florida, on October 26.

    The plane was en-route from Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport to Miami Executive Airport when the pilot noticed an engine problem and decided to make an emergency landing at Crandon Golf course.

    The plane struck some palm trees while landing and sustained damage to one of its wings.

    The pilot and his only passenger remained uninjured.

    The aircraft is owned by a company in Wilmington, Delaware.
