Where: Vnukovo
When: Oct 24th 2009
Who: 267 passengers and 12 crew
Why: After the flight had taken off, ground crew discovered tire debris on the runway. ATC notified the on board crew of the pending emergency. The plane performed a flyby at Vnukovo, and made a successful landing with no reported injuries.

What: Jetstar Airways Airbus A330-200 en route from Phuket (Thailand) to Sydney,NS
Where: Changi Airport, Singapore
When: Nov 1 2010
Who: 288 passengers
Why: While en route, the autopilot failed. The pilots diverted to Singapore where they made a safe landing with emergency services on standby.

Alternative arrangements have been made for the affected passengers, who were booked onto other flights and offered accommodation in Singapore.

Vietnam Airlines Plane Returns to Hanoi after Losing Cabin Pressure

Vietnam airlinesVietnam Airlines flight VN-227 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hanoi, Vietnam, on February 5th.

The plane took off for Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, but had to return shortly afterwards due to loss of cabin pressure.

The plane landed safely. All 137 passengers and 7 crew members remained unharmed.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

Alaska Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Honolulu

Alaska Airlines flight AS-145 made an emergency landing in Honolulu, Hawaii, on April 27th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane was flying from Seattle, Washington, when the crew received indication of an engine oil filter bypass.

The plane continued for a safe landing. All one hundred sixty-five people aboard remained unharmed.

Aeroflot Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cracked Windshield

Aeroflot flight SU-1451 made an emergency landing in Novosibirsk, Russia, on September 6th.
