JetBlue Airways flight B6-1468 had to return and make an emergency landing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on August 30th.
The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to return shortly afterwards due to cabin pressure problems.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Air France flight AF-1010 made an emergency landing in Nuremberg, Germany, on October 16th.
The plane flying from Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, was descending toward Nuremberg when it suffered a hydraulic failure.

Tunisair flight TU-914 made an emergency landing at Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Medina, Saudi Arabia, on February 27th.
The pilots declared emergency after a fire broke out in Airbus A330-200 plane’s left engine. The flight was heading from Medina, Saudi Arabia, to Tunis, Tunisia, at the time.
The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.
Yakutia Airlines flight R3-495 had to return for an emergency landing in Yakutsk, Russia, on January 7th.
The plane took off for Khabarovsk, Russia, but had to turn back due to indications of a gear problem.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
A South African Navy chopper had to make an emergency landing at Milnerton Golf Club, Cape Town, South Africa, on February 23.
The incident happened after the helicopter’s cockpit caught fire.
According to spokesperson of Department of Defence, Brigadier General Marthie Visser. “A Lynx helicopter of the South African Air Force conducted an emergency landing on the Milnerton Golf Course during a routine maintenance test flight today…No injuries were reported. A preliminary investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the incident.”
Jet Airways flight 9W 541 had to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India, on March 31.
Authorities said the pilot requested an emergency landing after a bird hit the aircraft. According to an airline spokesperson, “The captain of Jet Airways flight 9W 541 from Dubai to Mumbai reported a bird hit while landing. A thorough inspection of the aircraft was carried out and no damage was reported.”
There were 110 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.
The incident temporarily closed the runway due to which, 4 flights were asked to abort landing while 5 other incoming flights, including 4 Indigo flights and 1 Jet Airways flight, were diverted to other airports.

What: American Airlines Boeing 767-300 en route from Paris to Dallas Ft. Worth

Why: While en route and over the Atlantic, the plane developed smoke in the cabin. Apparently there was also a mechanical glitch as well that helped the pilots determine they needed to divert.
Pilots flew the 200 miles back to Shannon where they made a safe but overweight landing less than an hour later. Emergency vehicles were on standby.
The source of the smoke was an oven in the galley.
A replacement jet was provided as N392AN is inspected.
