Southwest Airlines flight WN-528 had to return and make a safe emergency landing at Baltimore–Washington International Airport, Maryland, on July 18th.
The Boeing 737-700, en-route to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, had just departed Baltimore’s runway when the crew was informed about rubber debris found on the runway.
The plane landed with both right hand main tyres deflated and torn.
All 143 passengers onboard remained unharmed.
The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.
