Why: While landing during a storm, the plane overran the runway and ended up nose cone down in a ditch, well past the pavement. (An alternative source said the plane lost control after having a flat on landing.) Passengers described landing, then skidding after landing. The runway was slippery with rain. The plane was evacuated on site, and passengers taken to the gate. Two passengers had minor injuries.

Why: On landing in Making in rain and wind, the plane exceeded a stop line on the runway which was abbreviated due to construction. Minimal damage occurred to the plane but runway lights were damaged.Although a Taipei news report calls into question the pilot’s braking, the weather and the fact that the runway was shortened due to construction should be mentioned.
The Aviation Safety Council has begun an investigation into the incident.

Air India Flight Overruns Runway at Mumbai Airport
Air India flight IX-213 overran the end of the runway upon landing in Mumbai, India, on July 10th.The incident happened when the Boeing 737-800 plane was coming from Vijayawada, India.
All eighty-two passengers and seven crew members remained unharmed.
ATA Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Iran
ATA Airlines flight I3-6600 made an emergency landing at Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport, Iran, on April 5th.The plane heading from Tabriz, Iran, to Najaf, Iraq, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Avior Airlines Plane Overruns Runway at Brazil’s Manaus International Airport
Avior Airlines flight 9V-1272 overran the end of the runway on landing at Manaus International Airport, Brazil, on November 28th.The incident happened when the Boeing 737-200 plane was coming from Caracas, Venezuela.
The plane came to stop with all gear on soft ground.
No injuries were reported.
