Brazilian officials now fear at least 195 people are dead from Tuesday night’s jetliner crash in Sao Paulo. The TAM airlines Airbus-320 was on a domestic flight to Sao Paulo from the southern city of Porto Alegre when it skidded off the end of the rain-slicked runway, crashed into a gas station and a building and burst into flames.

A nine-seat single-engine plane crashed at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport, Georgia, on January 6.
Authorities said the Cobalt Air 727, a Pilatus PC-12 plane, developed some issues while it was taking off for Lexington, Kentucky. The pilot was attempting to land back when the plane ran off the runway 1 and came to stop in a ditch.
There were two people aboard at the time; both of them were injured. They were taken to Memorial University Medical Centre.
The FAA will investigate.
Small Plane Crashes at Gainesville Airport; 1 Dead, 1 Injured
A small plane crashed at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville, Florida, on November 17th.
The Lancair International Legacy plane was carrying two people when it went down.
The pilot, identified as Robert Carlisle Alberhasky, 68, of Cumming, was killed in the crash. His passenger Mark Lewis, 69, of Flowery Branch, was injured and was taken to a hospital.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

Onur Air flight 8Q-371 had to make an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on January 19.The Airbus A320-200 was flying from Istanbul, Turkey, when the crew requested an emergency landing due to a landing gear problem.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

Air Asia flight AK-9700 overran the end of the runway upon landing at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Malaysia, on November 30th.The incident happened when the Airbus A320-200 plane was coming from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia.
There were four crew members aboard at the time; none of them were injured.

Who: 5 on board, 2 fatalities
Why: Crashed close to the kilometer 27 of the Perote-Los Humeros road. Pilot Daniel Cabrera Ruiz and Aviation Mechanic Irineo González Jerónimo were killed. The three survivors were taken to Jalapa and Perote, in Veracruz. The crash is under investigation by Aviation authorities and the Armada de Mexico.
