    Illegal flight Crashes in Honduras

    What: AvioCharter red and white Colombian-registered Cessna 402C Utililiner
    Where: Punta de Ocote, Morazán, Yoro, Honduras

    Who: 1 pilot
    Why: A small red and white Colombian-registered Cessna 402C Utililiner landed in the highway crossing Ocote, Morazán, Yoro. The plane was carrying a shipment of cocaine and when it fell, it killed eighteen year old motorcyclist Israel Martinez Euceda.

    Apparently seven or eight people were waiting for the plane to land. By the time police arrived, they found the plane in two pieces. Area residents barricaded themselves inside their homes to avoid the gunfire. Apparently narcotics traffickers set the plane afire.

    Small Plane Crashed in Tillamook County, OR

    A small plane crashed into the Nestucca River in Tillamook County, Oregon, on September 3rd.

    The plane had just taken off from Pacific City State Airport when it lost engine power and went down.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unharmed.

    Plane Crashes House in Tallahassee


    What: Single engine Cirrus SR-22 en route from Columbus, Ohio to heading to Tallahassee Regional Airport
    Where: two miles short of the runway on Blue Jay Drive
    When: left Columbus at approximately 2:59 pm Thursday; crashed into a house 7:17 p.m
    Who: Pilot and passenger were killed; 2 in the house were taken to the hospital with injuries
    Why: The plane struck two vehicles in the driveway. Under investigation. 50 homes are out of power as a result of the crash.

    Nashua Couple’s Plane Crashes Hooksett Highway

    What: Herman Hassinger Architects Beechcraft A36 Bonanza en route from Nashua to Laconia
    Where: Hooksett, New Hampshire
    When: Oct 25, 2012 1:30 pm
    Who: 2 aboard, 2 fatalities
    Why: According to reports, the single-engine Beechcraft hit a light pole alongside I-93 northbound.

    The two aboard, Husband and wife Herman and Doris Hassinger, were on their way to a board of trustees meeting at a New Hampton boarding school, and died when the plane crashed on to the shoulder and guard rail after glancing off the pole.

    Herman Hassinger was ejected into the woods about 25 yards from the plane.

    The plane sustained heavy front-end damage. The debris included parts fallen from the light pole and about six feet of the plane’s wing.

    The Bureau of Aeronautics, FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating.

    African Crash update, 9 Dead

    What: Britten-Norman Islander en route from Mozambique (Nelspruit’s Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) at 14:00) to Bloemfontein
    Where: The wreckage was found in the Barberton mountain area near Nelspruit
    When: Lost Sunday, found Monday 06/10/2008 16:47 – (SA)
    Who: Eight passengers, 1 pilot
    Why: After disappearing, a search-and-rescue team made up of police, military personnel and the Civil Aviation Authority with two military Oryx helicopters, one police chopper and a private chopper tracked down the crash site. The wreckage was found only when aerial photography perceived the wreckage on a mountainside,

    Breaking news: Helicopter Crash in Yakutia

    On July 2, a Polyarnye Avialinii airline Mil Mi-8 helicopter en route from Deputatsky (a village) was on a routine flight when air traffic control lost contact. The chopper was flying from the village of Deputatsky to Kazachye village.

    The helicopter flew over a pass, encountered severe turbulence reported as “a powerful air stream.” Reports indicate that the helicopter’s tail grazed a hill. The official report says the helicopter was located “45 km north-west of the airport. The helicopter pilot made a hard landing. Because of the strong downdraft helicopter literally pressed to the slope of the hill.” The airport in question refers to the landing strip of origin, near Deputatsky.

    The plane crashed in Yakutia 45 kilometers from takeoff. There were 25 passengers and a 3 person crew. Initial reports say fifteen died, but that count has been raised to 19. Fourteen adults and 11 children were among the passengers.

    Search and rescue were deployed as well as emergency responders, including thirty rescuers from Far Eastern regional search and rescue team, and experts of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations of Emergency Psychological Aid Centre, and Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

    Responders number more than 100 people and 11 vehicles.
