    United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Houston

    United Airlines flight UA-4129 made an emergency landing in Houston, Texas, on March 19th.

    The Embraer ERJ-145 plane flying from College Station, Texas, was on final approach to Houston when the crew declared an emergency due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed safely. All thirty-two people aboard remained unharmed.

    Where: Lincoln Nebraska
    When: June 6 2011, 7 am
    Who: 53 passengers 3 crew
    Why: On takeoff from Lincoln Airport, the crew detected smoke in the cockpit.

    Pilots returned immediately to Lincoln and made a safe landing. Maintenance examined the plane. Takeoff was delayed for 9 hours.

    Four dead in Bahamas

    A First Class Flyers LLC Cirrus SR22 with four aboard took off from Grand Bahama International Airport shortly after 11am Sunday morning November 10, 2013. Officers of the Royal Bahamas Marine and Police responded to the scene.

    The plane had experienced engine trouble prior to the crash.

    The plane crashed a few miles off the coast of Grand bahama Island. The names of the four Americans were not released immediately, but now the fatalities were reported as Fishers businessman Tony Wishart and Cindy Mierzwa from northern Indiana and Glen and Leslie Steiner from Arizona.

    Alaska Airlines Emergency Landing

    On Feb 10 2013, Alaska Airlines flight 837 en route from Norman Y Mineta San Jose Int’l Airport to Honolulu departed and returned to Mineta San Jose after a power problem in a navigation system an hour into the flight. 132 passengers and six crew were aboard.

    When the captain decided to return to Mineta San Jose, the San Jose Fire Department was on standby.

    The Boeing 737-800 (738) made a safe landing at 9:40 a.m after two hours in the air, and did not need towing.

    The replacement flight was scheduled to leave at 10:45.

    Wataniya Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Aqaba

    Wataniya Airways flight KW-416 made an emergency landing in Aqaba, Jordan, on July 17th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Beirut, Lebanon, to Kuwait, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Crash Lands in Eastern Colorado

    A small plane crash landed in a field near Strasburg, eastern Colorado, on the night of November 20.

    The Authorities said the pilot was making an emergency landing due to engine failure when the plane flipped onto its top.

    The pilot and his only passenger were shifted to hospital for examination. It is believed that none of them suffered any major injuries.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
