    GoAir Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Delhi

    GoAir flight G8-329 had to make an emergency landing in Delhi, India, on February 14th.

    The plane flying from Mumbai, India, was descending toward Delhi when the crew declared an emergency due to an engine problem.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Shaheen Air Plane Crash-Lands at Lahore Airport; At Least 10 Injured

    Shaheen airShaheen Air flight NL-142 crash-landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, Pakistan, on November 3.

    The plane was flying from Karachi when the pilot declared emergency due to faulty landing gear.

    Authorities said one of the tires of the plane burst upon landing, causing it to skid off the runway.

    At least 10 passengers were injured in the incident and were provided medical treatment.

    The aircraft’s fuselage sustained damage.

    The incident is being investigated.

    Boeing Fuselage Fails

    What: Southwest Airlines Boeing en route from Phoenix to Sacramento
    Where: Yuma Marine Corps Air Station, Arizona
    When: April 1, 2011
    Who: 118 passengers
    Why: While en route, after what sounded like an explosion, a three foot hole opened up in the roof, straight through the fuselage. After rapid decompression, the pilots diverted to Yuma Marine Corps air Station. There were no injuries among the passengers but one fight attendant was hurt. Some passengers passed out when their oxygen wasn’t working.

    Subsequent to the initial event, more planes were found with similar issues. (More to come)

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-94 had to return and make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on August 30th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Madrid, Spain, but had to turn back due to issues with navigation display and a possible fuel leak.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Ridgeway Reservoir Plane Crash Updates

    A single engine plane crashed about 90 feet from the shore south of Montrose on 22nd March, 2014. The incident happened while the plane was on its way from Oklahoma to Montrose regional airport.

    A large piece from the tail of the crashed plane has been recovered from the reservoir. Rescue teams could not find the pilot and the other five people on board. It is assumed that there are no survivors of the crash incident.

    According to the Ouray County emergency, law enforcement and public officials, the search and rescue operation is going on at the best, and the efforts will continue on Monday as well.

    British Airways Flight Diverts to Manchester Airport

    British airwaysBritish Airways flight BA8703 had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport, United Kingdom, on June 17.

    The plane was heading from Edinburgh to London City Airport when it had to divert to Manchester.

    An airline spokesperson said, “We apologise to customers for the diversion of the BA8703 Edinburgh to London City service into Manchester… This was due to an engine bleed warning light that illuminated on the flight deck… Safety is always our first priority.”
