    British Airways Flight Returns to Heathrow Airport due to Landing Gear Issue

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Singapore but had to return shortly afterwards after a bird strike caused the captain’s windshield to crack.

    Eurowings Flight Rejects Takeoff After Bird Strike

    Eurowings flight EW-79 had to reject takeoff from Leipzig, Germany, on October 17th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Cologne, Germany, when the crew rejected takeoff due to a bird strike.

    The plane stopped on the runway and was towed to the apron. Everyone aboard remained uninjured.

    Canadian North Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Ottawa

    Canadian NorthCanadian North flight 5T-436 had to return and make an emergency landing in Ottawa, Canada, on March 28th.

    The Boeing 737-200 plane took off for Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an engine overheat indication.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 49 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    Plane Carrying European Satellite Lands in Emergency in Ulyanovsk

    RuslanA Russian transport plane had to make an emergency landing in Ulyanovsk, Russia, on October 28.

    The An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft, owned by Volga-Dnieper Airlines, was transporting a European communications satellite Astra 2G from Moscow, Russia, to Baikonur, Kazakhstan, when the crew noticed an increase in temperature of its 4th engine. The engine was then shut off and the plane was diverted for emergency landing, after consultation with the client.

    The plane landed uneventfully and was taken for maintenance. The company confirmed that many parts of the engine were replaced.

    The Astra 2G satellite is scheduled to be launched from the Baikonur space center by a Proton-M carrier rocket, in the end of November. The satellite will provide communication services to various countries in Asia, Europe and Central Africa.

    LOT Polish Airlines Flight Returns to Copenhagen due to Flaps Problem

    LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-464 had to return and make an emergency landing in Copenhagen, Denmark, on February 23rd.
