Where: dirt road near Lemmon and Chickadee drives between Spanish Springs and Lemmon Valley on a dirt road west of Reno-Sparks Indian Colony in Hungry Valley.
When: 3 p.m. Friday
Who: Washoe County Search and Rescue pilot Don Osborne
Why: The plane experienced a sudden drop in oil pressure and made an emergency landing two miles from Reno Stead Airport. The pilot was off-duty.

Twin-Engine Plane Crash-Lands in Kentucky; 4 Injured
A small plane crash-landed near the runway of Georgetown-Scott County Airport, Georgetown, Kentucky, on the night of August 1.
The the twin-engine Beechcraft King Air plane was attempting an emergency landing when it crash-landed. All 4 people aboard sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals.
The injured were identified as the pilot Mark Conrad and his pasengers Ron Absher, Aaron Conrad and Jonathan Absher.
The FAA is investigating.
Etihad Airways Flight Returns to Abu Dhabi due to Engine Issue
Etihad Airways flight EY-474 had to return and make an emergency landing in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on May 2nd.The Airbus A330-200 plane took off for Jakarta, Indonesia, but had to turn back after the crew reported a loud bang and streaks of flames coming out of left engine.
The plane landed back uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
Condor Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Shannon Airport
Condor flight DE-4156 had to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on March 19.The Boeing 767-300 was heading from Frankfurt, Germany to Cancun, Mexico, when a smoke alarm went off. The pilot then diverted the flight to Shannon Airport, where it made a safe emergency landing.
All 238 people aboard remained unharmed.
The airline arranged an alternate aircraft for passengers.

Travel Service Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Flaps Issue
Travel Service Airlines flight QS-7333 had to make an emergency landing in Katowice, Poland, on January 23rd.The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Fuerteventura, Spain, was on final approach to Katowice when the crew reported a flaps issue and went around.
The plane landed safely on second approach. All 187 passengers and 6 crew members remained unharmed.
