LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-522 made an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on September 25th.

The Embraer ERJ-175 plane flying from Prague, Czech Republic, was descending toward Warsaw when the crew received indication of a possible issue with the brakes, and declared an emergency.

The plane landed safely. All eighty-two people aboard remained unharmed.

Scandinavian Airlines flight SK-1758 had to return and make an emergency landing in Gdansk, Poland, on June 20th.

The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Copenhagen, Denmark, but had to return shortly afterwards due to smoke in the cabin.

The plane landed back safely. All eighty-eight passengers and five crew members remained unharmed.

Travel Service Airlines flight QS-7333 had to make an emergency landing in Katowice, Poland, on January 23rd.

The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Fuerteventura, Spain, was on final approach to Katowice when the crew reported a flaps issue and went around.

The plane landed safely on second approach. All 187 passengers and 6 crew members remained unharmed.

Polish Airlines Plane Returns to Poland due to Air Conditioning Issue

LOT Polish AirlinesLOT Polish Airlines flight LO-3944 had to return and make an emergency landing at Poznan-Lawica Henryk Wieniawski Airport, Poznan, Poland, on December 31.

The De Havilland Dash 8-400, flying from Poznan, to Warsaw, Poland, was mid-air when it encountered some problem with its air conditioning systems, causing it to return.

The plane landed safely.

All passengers on board remained safe.

Turkish Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Poland

Turkish airlinesTurkish Airlines flight TK-79 had to make an emergency landing at Warsaw Chopin Airport, Warsaw, Poland, at around 3:50 P.M. on July 30.

The Boeing 777-300, heading from Istanbul Atatürk Airport, Turkey, to San Francisco, California, had to be landed in emergency due to an unclaimed mobile phone found in the cabin.

The plane landed safely and all 332 people aboard remained unhurt.

The journey continued after security clearance.

Emirates Plane Diverts to Poland due to Medical Emergency; Sustains Damage Upon Landing

EmiratesEmirates flight EK222 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on May 20.

The A380 plane, en-route from Dallas to Dubai, was diverted after a Nigerian passenger suffered a stroke midair.

According to an airline spokesperson, “Emirates flight EK222 from Dallas to Dubai on 20 May was diverted to Warsaw due to a passenger medical emergency… Subsequently, the aircraft faced a technical issue on ground. Passengers and crew safely disembarked, and Emirates arranged a replacement aircraft to bring all passengers to Dubai, with a total delay of 6 hours. Emirates apologises for any inconvenience. The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance.”

Wheels Down on Lake Päijänne

On May 20, two people aboard a float plane were safe after the pilot landed in Lake Päijänne Finland with the wheels down.

Neither the pilot or passenger had more than minor injuries, though the plane flipped on landing after the pilot forgot. Both pilot and passenger had minor bruises and a “cold bath.”

After the plane flipped, the men climbed on top of the cabin to await rescue.
