Travel Service Polska flight QS-7222 had to return and make an emergency landing in Wroclaw, Poland, on September 23rd.
The plane took off for Bodrum, Turkey, but had to turn back due to an issue with the fuel system.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Singapore Airlines flight SQ-336 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport, UAE, on November 29.
The Airbus A380-800 flying from Singapore to Paris, France, had to divert due to some issue with one of its engines.
The plane landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
An EasyJet flight made an emergency landing at Bristol Airport, England, on December 13th.
The plane heading from Edinburgh, Scotland, to Madrid, Spain, was diverted after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.

What: Spanair Airbus A321-200 en route from Madrid to Las Palmas
Where: Seville
When: Dec 23rd 2009
Who: 185 passengers
Why: While en route, the Airbus developed a problem with one of its engines. Passengers heard an explosion and smelled burning oil. The crew decided to shut down the malfunctioning engine, and shut it down.
The flight landed safely.
A replacement jet was flown in but not all passengers opted to board the replacement flight seven hours after they arrived.
Tiger Airways flight TT413 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Adelaide Airport, Australia, on March 15.
The plane, en-route from Melbourne to Perth, had to be diverted after a strange odor was noticed in the cabin.
The flight landed uneventfully and all 171 passengers were provided free overnight accommodation.
The airline said in a statement, “Tigerair Australia apologises for any inconvenience to affected passengers, however safety is always our first priority and always comes before schedule … The airline is currently awaiting the review of the engineers’ assessment and is prioritising travel arrangements to get affected passengers to their destination as soon as possible.”
Utair flight UT-106 made an emergency landing in Tyumen, Russia, on June 22nd.
The plane flying from Yekaterinburg, Russia, was descending toward Tyumen when an engine fault caused smoke in the cabin.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
