Fighter Jets Intercept Ryanair Flight Over Netherlands

Ryanair flight FR-9525 was intercepted by Belgian fighter aircraft over Netherlands, on February 10th.

The aircraft were dispatched after the Boeing 737-800 plane, heading from Lublin, Poland, to London Stansted Airport, England, lost contact with the ATC.

The communication was subsequently re-established, and the fighter jets returned to their bases.

The flight continued to London Stansted Airport.

LOT Polish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Warsaw

LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-522 made an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on September 25th.

The Embraer ERJ-175 plane flying from Prague, Czech Republic, was descending toward Warsaw when the crew received indication of a possible issue with the brakes, and declared an emergency.

The plane landed safely. All eighty-two people aboard remained unharmed.

Wizz Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Iceland

Wizz Air flight W6-1898 had to return and make an emergency landing in Keflavik, Iceland, on September 13th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Wroclaw, Poland, but had to turn back after an electronic cigarette of a passenger started emitting smoke.

The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.
