Why: Just after takeoff from Johannesburg, the flight developed nose gear trouble. When the pilots returned to the airport, the nose gear did not come down, which was verified on a flyby.While burning off fuel for two hours, pilots attempted to extend the nose gear, and when attempts failed, had to land without nose gear on the plane’s belly. Passengers evacuated on to the runway at the airport of origin, OR Tambo International, after the three hour flight.
There were no injuries.

Airbus A-380 Wing Crack problems are an Issue: (video)
Fatigue cracking not as a result of stress but because of a manufacturing issue causes widespread concern. The wing problem may cost Airbus a hundred million euros. Airbus will have to compensate airlines for the (estimated) five days time planes will be out of service for remediation.

Why: After take-off, the APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) developed a problem. After returning to Hyderabad, maintenance dealt with the issue and within an hour the plane was back in the air. Lufthansa Flight Returns to Frankfurt due to Engine Problem
Lufthansa flight LH-440 had to return and make an emergency landing in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 11th.The Airbus A380-800 plane took off for Houston, Texas, but had to turn back due to an engine problem.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.
Lufthansa Runway Mishap Injures None, Delays Flight
On January 9, 2013 Wednesday afternoon, a Lufthansa Airbus A320-214 was on the runway at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport preparing for a flight to Munich International when the plane slid off the tarmac.
Passengers disembarked and were returned to the terminal. No word on if the same plane continued their journey, if they were provided alternative transportation, or housed in the interim. No word on the cause of the incident.
The plane was towed off the runway.
None of the 76 aboard were reported injured.
