A small plane made an emergency landing on train tracks in South Anchorage, Alaska, on October 30th.
The pilot of the Cessna 185 plane said he was forced to make an emergency landing after the engine stopped working shortly after taking off from Flying Crown Airport, Anchorage.
The pilot and his only passenger remained safe.
The plane was not damaged.

Air France flight AF-792 made an emergency landing in Lajes, Portugal, on January 24th.
The Boeing 777-300 plane heading from Paris Orly Airport, France, to Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe, was diverted after the crew noticed a burning odor on board.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

The plane overran the end of the runway, crashed through a perimeter fence, crossed Giffard Road, and slammed into a Benz van, killing 10. Four aboard the flight survived the collision.
ATC may have advised pilots to divert to Abidjan because of the weather.
Police, military and fire as well as the coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation were on the scene.
The plane was considered totaled, with wing damage, separated tail and collapsed gear. The plane reportedly was Pan Am’s last revenue flight Dec 4, 1991.
Delta Air Lines Flight 546 had to make an emergency landing at Norfolk International Airport, Virginia at 3:10 P.M. on July 5.
The Boeing 737 was heading towards John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, from Dominican Republic, when the pilots received warning of a possible mechanical issue in one of the engines and decided to land as a precaution.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All 131 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained safe and were accommodated in a replacement flight.

American Airlines flight AA904 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Brasillia, Brazil, on January 29.
The plane, heading from Rio de Janeiro to Miami, Florida, was diverted after four people, including a passengers and three crew members, complained of lightheadedness.
The plane landed uneventfully. The airline said the sick passenger and crew members were examined by paramedics but none of them requested further medical care.
