    United Airlines Plane Diverts to Raleigh–Durham International Airport

    United Airlines flight UA-208 had to divert and make an unscheduled landing at Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina, on June 15th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Orlando, Florida, to Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    Mahan Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Issue

    Mahan Air flight W5-1085 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Zahedan, Iran, on March 17th.

    The plane heading from Tehran to Zabol, Iran, was diverted due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Airbus Emergency Landing in Phuket

    Dec 20, 2012, 20:38; Air Berlin Airbus A330-223 was en route from Phuket to Abu Dhabi. Not long after takeoff, the plane developed engine problems. Smoke was detected in the cabin.

    Witnesses on the ground heard three “explosions” when the flight took off, and saw smoke.

    Pilots returned to Phuket where they made a hard (fast/heavy) landing that blew three tires. Of the 249 passengers and ten crew, none were injured. The passengers, mostly German, were provided a hotel, and a flight the next day.

    The plane was sprayed to cool it down and sent to be examined by maintenance.

    Southwest Airlines Plane Returns to Colorado after Electrical Smell

    southwest_airlines_logoSouthwest Airlines flight 541 had to return and make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport, Colorado, on the night of October 16.

    The plane, heading towards Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, Washington, had to turn around after an electrical smell emerged in the cabin.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 143 passengers remained unhurt. The passengers were accommodated in another flight.

    Bird Forces Private Jet to make Emergency Landing at Dulles

    HawkerA private Hawker 800 jet made an emergency landing at runway 19-R of Washington Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Virginia, shortly before 12:30 pm on July 14.

    As per officials of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), the pilot declared emergency after a bird hit and damaged the aircraft.

    The plane landed safely but had to be towed off to the hanger due to damage to its under carriage and loss of hydraulic fluid.

    There were 2 people aboard at the time of accident; none of them was injured.

    The fire crews responded at the runway as a precaution step.

    American Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Orlando

    American Airlines flight AA-1868 had to make an emergency landing in Orlando, Florida, on January 2nd.

    The Airbus A330-200 plane was flying from Charlotte, North Carolina, when a strange odor on-board gave headaches to 7 crew members.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. The crew members were taken to hospital.

    All 89 passengers aboard remained unharmed.
