Southwest Airlines flight 541 had to return and make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport, Colorado, on the night of October 16.
The plane, heading towards Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, Washington, had to turn around after an electrical smell emerged in the cabin.
The plane landed safely.
All 143 passengers remained unhurt. The passengers were accommodated in another flight.
Eurowings flight EW-1100 had to return and make an emergency landing in Dusseldorf, Germany, on July 26th.
The plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.

Brussels Airlines flight SN-3765 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Toulouse–Blagnac Airport, France, on July 13th.

All 140 people aboard remained safe.
LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-3924 made an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on January 10th.
The plane was flying from Krakow, Poland, when the crew reported an issue with the nose gear extension.
The nose gear collapsed as the plane touched down in Warsaw.
All fifty-nine passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.

What: Asiana Airlines Boeing 777-200 en route from Los Angeles,CA to Seoul South Korea

Why: While en route, undisclosed engine problems caused the pilot to choose to shut down and engine and divert to Anchorage. On landing, the plane was towed to the gate. No indication is provided on when alternative travel accommodations were provided for passengers.
A small plane crash landed on the Skywest Golf Course in Hayward, California, on the afternoon of February 15.
According to Hayward Fire Capt. Don Nichelson, the plane departed from Hayward Executive Airport but had to crash-land shortly afterwards, due to power loss.
The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained uninjured.
The incident is being investigated.
On May 15, a CityJet flight en route from London to Florence had to return and make an emergency landing after a part of its wing became partially detached.
According to a CityJet spokesperson, “The WX 281 flight had just taken off from London City Airport on its way to Florence when the cover of the operating mechanism on the wing became partially detached…The crew followed their standard procedures and, after a discussion with CityJet Maintenance Control, decided to return to London City Airport.”
The Avro RJ85 aircraft carrying 61 passengers made an uneventful emergency landing at the London City Airport. No injuries were reported.
The passengers were taken to their destination on another aircraft.
