    JetBlue Flight Diverts to Atlantic City International Airport

    JetBlue flight B6-1443 had to divert for an emergency landing in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on June 28th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Newark, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, was diverted after smoke was noticed in the cockpit.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Where: Bucharest Romania
    When: Nov 28 2010
    Why: While over Bucharest, the plane indicated smoke in 2 cargo holds. On making an emergency landing in Bucharest, no smoke or fire was located. Passengers disembarked and were provided hotel accommodations, and an alternative flight on the 29th.

    The plane was grounded for inspections.

    1 Killed, 1 Injured as Small Plane Crashes at North Little Rock Municipal Airport

    A small plane crashed at North Little Rock Municipal Airport, Arkansas, on May 5th.

    Authorities said the Cessna 310 aircraft went down while the pilot was trying to return to the airport due to a mechanical issue.

    The pilot Daniel Shure, 30, was injured while his only passenger was killed. The deceased was identified as Doyle G. Reynolds, 56, of Jefferson, Arkansas.

    The accident is being investigated.

    PIA Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Karachi

    Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-319 made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan, on July 5th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Islamabad, Pakistan, was descending toward Karachi when the crew reported a nose gear issue and requested to be towed off the runway.

    The plane landed safely and was towed off the runway.

    All one hundred and seventy-three people aboard remained unharmed.

    Southwest Airlines Flight Returns to San Antonio due to Hydraulic Failure

    Southwest Airlines flight WN-1005 had to return and make an emergency landing in San Antonio, Texas, on September 24th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Baltimore, Maryland, but had to turn back due to a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    DeltaDelta Airlines flight 6093, bound for Dayton, Ohio, had to make an emergency landing at New York’s JFK Airport on July 28.

    The Embraer ERJ-145 took off from LaGuardia Airport, New York, at 9:14 p.m., immediately after which, the pilot was notified about a possible tire issue. He then declared an emergency and diverted the plane to JFK considering its longer runways.

    The plane made an uneventful landing at 11:34 p.m. All passengers and crew members were safely evacuated.

    The incident is being investigated.
