    Corporate Jet Makes Emergency Landing at San Jose Airport

    A corporate jet made an emergency landing at the Mineta San Jose International Airport in Santa Clara County, California, at 2:51 p.m. on August 5.

    The plane landed uneventfully and no injuries were reported.

    According to an airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes, the pilot declared an emergency due to some mechanical problems. However, she did not know the nature of the mechanical problems or the number of people on board the aircraft.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dayton

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-2392 had to return for an emergency landing in Dayton, Ohio, on December 6th.

    The plane took off for Atlanta, Georgia, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported failure of right engine.

    The plane landed safely. There were 123 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    What: Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400, en route from Belfast City to Glasgow
    Where: Belfast
    When: Mar 25 2010, 7: 35 am
    Who: 61 passengers, 4 crew
    Why: After takeoff, witnesses detected “smoke billowing from the engine”. The flight returned to make a safe landing in Belfast where the return was attributed to a “technical problem.” Emergency crews were on standby. There were no injuries.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Mobile, AL

    American Airlines flight AA-5142 made an emergency landing in Mobile, Alabama, on January 3rd.

    The plane flying from Charlotte, North Carolina, was on final approach to Mobile when the crew received an unsafe nose gear indication.

    The crew went around to work the checklists and subsequently landed safely.

    British Airways flight BA-2578 made an emergency landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, on December 26th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Gatwick Airport, England, to Turin, Italy, was diverted after a burning odor was noticed in the cockpit.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane was flying from Seattle, Washington, when the crew received indication of an engine oil filter bypass.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All one hundred sixty-five people aboard remained unharmed.
