What: Global Air Boeing 737-200 en route from from Mexico City to Puerto Vallarta Where: Puerto Vallarta When: Nov 4th 2010 1 p.m. Who: 99 passengers and 5 crew Why: While on approach to Puerto Vallarta, the plane’s nose gear would not extend, in spite of several flybys where the tower verified the nose gear was not extended.
The plane eventually made a belly landing on foam with emergency services on standby. Pilot Jorge Luz Campos landed the plane with no injuries.

During the Bereg Radosti aerial /song show festival in Siberia, a Yakovlev Yak-52 plane crashed, killing a pilot and injuring spectators: a girl born in 1995 and a man born in 1959. The operator was Dosaaf ROSTO.
The plane fell into the Tommot River in the republic of Yakutia while the pilot was trying to perform a loop.
The pilot died on impact. Two spectators were injured out of a crowd of about a hundred. The audience was composed of people from Yakutia, the Amur Region and the Khabarovsk Territory.
The name of the show means Shore of Joy. The accident is being investigated by Aldan police.
Dynamic Airways flight 2D-405 had to return to the ramp while taxiing at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, Florida, on October 29.
The Boeing 767-200, heading to Caracas, Venezuela, had to abort taxiing due to fuel leakage from one of its engines. The fuel leakage later caused fire.
The plane received significant damage.
Among the 79 passengers and 11 crew members aboard, 15 people sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

On March 15, 2013, an Era Helicopters LLC Sikorsky S-76A with three board crashed just before noon in Cameron Parish Louisiana in a remote area of swampy/muddy pastureland with only four-wheeler access.
The helicopter had taken off from Lake Charles Regional Airport. Emergency services responded to the scene, but access was limited to 4 wheel vehicles.
The helicopter was on a maintenance test flight with the pilot and two mechanics aboard. The fatalities were listed as the pilot, William R. Croucher, 69, of California; and two mechanics: Michael Lee Tyree, 55, of Iowa, La., and Timothy Lloyd Goehring, 41, of Sulphur, La.
Era helicopters normally provides transport to oil and gas fields in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska, but this flight was reported as a maintenance flight.
THe FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
Era Helicopter’s statement: “We deeply regret this unfortunate accident and we will use all of our resources to support the families of those involved. Our review will continue in concert with the investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board, which has jurisdiction over this matter”
What: Kyrgyzstan/Altyn Air Tupolev 134A-3 en route from Bishkek to Osh Where: Osh Airport, Kyrgyzstan When: 28 DEC 2011 Who: 6 crew, 82 passengers, 25 injured Why: After a hard landing in dense fog, the plane skidded off the runway, collapsing the right main gear, and flipped. As it rolled over, the right wing separated, and the ensuing fire was quickly contained by rescue services standing by. Passengers inside were hanging upside down, suspended by their seatbelts, but had to find a way to evacuate quickly, before the plane had a chance to explode. A fire occurred from a fuel leak in the remaining wing, but it was controlled.

Six crew members and nineteen passengers were hospitalized, but there were no fatalities reported. Nine children were aboard. The plane was evacuated.
Because of the incident, the airport (runway) was temporarily closed, and Osh-Bishkek flights are delayed.
Of the 25 reported injured and hospitalized, these have been identified: Rustamov A. b. 1977, Ismatova A. b. 1993, Turgunaliev Charles b.1960; and two injured, Mamatov A., born 1992, and Suyunbaeva A. 2011g.r. who are in a children’s hospital in Osh. The most seriously injured is a 19 year old girl.
Kyrgyzstan Airlines is on the EU banned list.

What: Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800 en route from Los Angeles to Detroit Where: Detroit When: Feb 18th 2012 Who: 2 injured Why: The flight was on approach to Detroit and flew into turbulence.
A passenger and a flight attendant were injured.
The flight landed safely in Detroit. The flight attendant was hospitalized.
