    American Airlines Flight Returns to Tampa After Bird Strike

    American Airlines flight AA-2270 returned to Tampa, Florida, on January 21st.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, but had to turn back due to a bird strike.

    United Express flight 6183 had to make an emergency landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, on February 24th.

    The Embraer ERJ-175 took off from Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, and was heading to San Antonio, Texas, when it lost cabin pressure, forcing the pilot to divert.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    The flight was operated by Mesa Airlines.

    JetBlue Flight Rejects Takeoff from Las Vegas

    JetBlue flight B6-178 had to reject takeoff from Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 7th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Boston, Massachusetts, when the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine fire.

    Emergency services quickly suppressed the smoke coming out of the engine.

    The plane safely returned to the gate.

    AeroLogic Airlines Plane Returns to Germany due to Cargo Smoke Indication

    AeroLogic Airlines flight 3S-514 had to return and make an emergency landing in Leipzig, Germany, on March 4th.

    The Boeing 777-200 freighter plane took off for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Easyjet Plane Returns to Spain after Bird Ingestion

    Easyjet flight U2-2256 had to return and make an emergency landing at Menorca Airport, Spain, on May 5th.

    The Airbus A319-100 flying to London, UK, had to return after one of its engines ingested a bird.

    The plane landed safely.

    No injuries were reported.

    When: emergency landing around 6:40 a.m
    Who: 113 passengers
    Why: After an emergency with an overheating hydraulic pump, the flight landed back at the Phoenix airport after 15 minutes; and (after 45 minutes of maintenance) was back in the air 1.5 hours behind schedule, but successfully en route to Seattle
