    Avianca Airlines Flight Returns to Bogota due to Hydraulic Failure

    AviancaAvianca Airlines flight AV-8562 had to return and make an emergency landing in Bogota, Colombia, on November 1st.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Bucaramanga, Colombia, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a hydraulic failure.

    United Airlines flight UA-135 had to return and make an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on May 20th.

    The Boeing 767-400 plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to turn back due to a cracked windshield.

    KLM Cityhopper Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Italy

    KLM Cityhopper flight KL-941 made an emergency landing in Genoa, Italy, on August 13th.

    The plane heading from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Cagliari, Italy, was diverted after it lost cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Chartered YanAir Flight Lands in Emergency at Bulgaria

    YANAIRThe chartered flight K2 6242of Ukraine’s YanAir, operated by Polish Eurolot, made a safe emergency landing in the port of Burgas in Bulgaria on August 6.

    The incident happened when the flight was heading from Antalya, Turkey to Poznan, Poland.

    Eurolot spokeswoman Karolina Bursa said the pilot of the Airbus 320 “decided to make a landing because a need emerged during the flight to check one of the systems.” She also said that security protocols in such situations require landing at the nearest airport.

    She further confirmed that the experts were checking a system that controls air conditioning and other things in the aircraft.

    American Airlines Regional Jet Makes Emergency Landing at Norfolk International Airport

    American EagleAmerican Airlines flight 3749 made an emergency landing at Norfolk International Airport in Virginia, on March 15th.

    The plane took off from LaGaurdia Airport, New York, and was heading to Norfolk when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and declared emergency.

    The plane landed safely. All 26 passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    The incident is being investigated.
