    Flybe Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Hydraulic Leak

    flybeFlybe flight BE-1048 made an emergency landing in Manchester, England, on May 11th.

    The plane was flying from Aberdeen, Scotland, when the crew reported a hydraulic leak and requested an emergency landing.

    The plane landed safely. There were 52 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    Wizz Air Flight Diverts to Zagreb due to Smoke in Cockpit

    Wizz Air flight W6-4263 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Zagreb, Croatia, on September 15th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Nis, Serbia, to EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, France, was diverted due to smoke in the cockpit.

    The plane landed safely. Medical teams examined two passengers and a crew member after landing.

    JetBlue Flight 597 Diverts to Minot due to Electrical Odor

    JetBlue flight 597 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Minot, North Dakota, due to electrical odor.

    The plane was en route from Boston to Seattle on June 18, when the pilot reported an electrical odor and requested to make an emergency landing. The Airbus A320-200 was then diverted to Minot International Airport, where it made a safe emergency landing at about 9:50 a.m. All 126 passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    The JetBlue maintenance technicians examined and cleared the plane. After about 4:15 hours, the plane was able to continue its journey towards Seattle where it landed with a delay of 4.5 hours from its scheduled time.

    Monarch Airlines Plane Rejects Take Off From Birmingham, UK

    Monarch Airlines flight ZB-970 had to reject take off from Birmingham, England, on March 16th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Malaga, Spain, when the crew rejected take off due to a technical issue.

    All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    UPS Safe Landing in Tulsa


    What: UPS Cargo Airbus en route from Louisville to Tulsa
    Where: Tulsa International Airport
    When: May 22, 2012 5:40 a.m.
    Who: 2 Crew
    Why: En route, the plane flashed a landing gear warning.

    Pilots made a safe landing in Tulsa but had to be towed. The runway was closed for thirty minutes.

    Lufhansa Emergency Landing in Frankfurt

    What: Lufthansa Airbus A319-100 en route from Frankfurt/Main to Hamburg
    Where: Frankfurt
    When: Aug 10th 2011
    Why: After takeoff from Frankfort, the right engine made an explosive noise.

    The flight crew shut down the engine and diverted back to Frankfurt where they made a safe landing. No indication if fuel was dumped or emergency crew on standby. The problem has been initially attributed to either a fuel or air intake issue.
