    AtlasGlobal Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Istanbul

    AtlasGlobal flight KK-1010 had to return and make an emergency landing in Istanbul, Turkey, on July 27th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Ercan International Airport, Cyprus, but had to turn back after encountering dense hail.

    The plane landed back safely. All one hundred and twenty-one passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at DFW Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-5957 made an emergency landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, on January 17th.

    The plane flying from Phoenix, Arizona, was descending toward DFW Airport when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and declared an emergency.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Allegiant Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Las Vegas

    AllegiantAllegiant Air Flight 536 had to return and make an emergency landing in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 22.

    The flight was heading from McCarran International Airport to Great Falls, Montana, but was forced to return after a smoke alarm went off.

    The plane landed uneventfully at around 8:50 a.m. None of the 160 passengers aboard was harmed.

    The passengers were shifted to another aircraft which took them to their destination.

    Endeavor Air Plane Diverts and Makes Emergency Landing in North Carolina

    Endeavor Air flight 9E-4058/DL-4058 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 4th.

    The Canadair CRJ-900, en-route from Charleston, South Carolina to New York, was mid-air when the crew reported the loss of cabin pressure, prompting the plane to divert.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    All 62 passengers and 4 crew members onboard remained unharmed.

    The passengers were rebooked onto other flights.

    What: US Airways Airbus A330-300 en route from Charlotte to Rome
    Where: Philadelphia
    When: July 10, 2012, 10:00 pm
    Who: 176 passengers, 12 crew, 5 crew ill
    Why: While en route, a number of US Airways flight crew became sick from smelling an odor. The pilot diverted to Philadelphia where they made a safe landing. Passengers were provided an alternative flight.

    The flight crew was hospitalized. The fumes that made them ill have not been identified.

    Frontier Airlines Plane Returns to Denver After Encountering Turbulence

    Frontier Airlines flight F9-190 had to return and make an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado, on October 12th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Austin, Texas, but had to turn back after it hit severe turbulence that injured a flight attendant.

    The plane landed back safely.
