Jazz Aviation flight QK-8682 suffered a runway excursion on landing at Canadian Forces Base Bagotville in Quebec, Canada, on February 8th.
The incident happened when the plane was coming from Montreal, Canada.
The plane came to stop on soft ground. No injuries were reported.
WestJet flight 662 had to return and make an emergency landing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on February 3rd.
The plane took off for Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but had to turn back after smoke was observed coming from the air conditioning system.
The plane landed safely. All 132 passengers aboard remained unharmed.
What: Air Canada Boeing 777 en route from Vancouver to Toronto

Why: While en route, the Boeing developed an oil pressure problem (indicator) in one of the engines. No smoke was reported.
The pilots returned to Vancouver and made a safe landing. No injuries were reported. Passengers disembarked and boarded another plane which left for Toronto around noon.
A small Cessna plane had to make an emergency landing at Brampton-Caledon Airport, Cheltenham, Ontario, Canada, on September 15th.
The plane carrying 2 people encountered issues with its landing gear and had to fly around for about an hour before landing.
The plane landed safely.
Both the men aboard remained unharmed.

What: Air Canada Airbus A319-100 en route from Toronto to Winnipeg
Where: Sault Ste Marie

Who: 125 aboard
Why: While en route, the plane was over Canada when the displays quit. The loss of the displays is being attributed to an electronic power failure. (Wonder if there was a short or if it was something else?) The displays were only offline for less than a minute, and subsequently began flashing error messages. Pilots continued on to Winnipeg and managed to land safely. The plane was taken out of commission in order to have an Airbus inspection to determine what exactly was going on.
Flying an Airbus without electronic displays is, I think, tantamount to suicide. I am surprised they didn’t divert somewhere and land immediately. Is it not somewhat risky to continue flying an airbus when the display connections are flakey? This same sort of thing happened on a BMI Airbus A321. Apparently catastrophic failure in rough conditions is not unheard of. In fact, rough conditions are not required to cause the need for a reboot. The term for “rebooting” an airbus that has lost its electronics is called “recycling,” a common enough thing that there is recognizable pilot humor regarding it.
Jazz Air flight QK-8978 made an emergency landing in Montreal, Canada, on October 23rd.
The plane was flying from Ottawa, Canada, when the crew noticed an increase in oil pressure for the left engine.
The crew had to shut down the engine before landing in Montreal.
There were 31 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

What: Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 en route from Frankfurt/Main to Denver
Where: Winnipeg
When: Jul 5 2010
Who: 1 baby 7 weeks early
Why: While en route from Frankfurt to Denver, one of the passengers decided to arrive ahead of schedule. The flight diverted to Winnipeg, but not before Denver resident Heather Randle of Denver delivered on board. Thankfully three doctors and a nurse were also aboard and able to attend. Mother and child were taken to Winnipeg hospital. The infant, Trudence Sophia Randle, is being held in a neonatal intensive care. The father was traveling separately.
