Air Creebec Plane Makes Emergency Landing due to Cracked Windshield

An Air Creebec flight made an emergency landing at Val-d’Or Airport in Quebec, Canada, on June 28th.

The plane took off for Waskaganish, Quebec, Canada, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a cracked windshield.

The plane landed safely. All seventeen people aboard remained unharmed.

Jazz Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Montreal

jazzJazz flight QK-8696 made an emergency landing in Montreal, Canada, on October 30th.

The plane took off for Sept Iles, Quebec, Canada, but had to turn back after the crew reported difficulties in flying left turns.

The plane safely landed back in Montreal. There were 27 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

British Aerospace Jetstream 32 Makes Emergency Landing in Quebec

A Jetstream 32 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Bonaventure Airport, Quebec, Canada, on March 30th.

The aircraft was carrying the late Canadian Parliament member Jean Lapierre’s brother-in-law from Montreal and was on its way to Magdalen Islands, when the crew encountered some problem with the engine, prompting the plane to divert.

The plane landed successfully.

All people onboard remained unhurt.

Former Canadian Minister Jean Lapierre and 6 Others Die in Plane Crash

A small plane crashed in the Magdalen Islands, Quebec, Canada, on March 29th.

The private plane, transporting Jean Lapierre, 59, a broadcaster and former Canadian transport minister, and his family members to his father’s funeral, went down while approaching the Iles-de-la-Madeleine Airport amid heavy winds and snow.

All seven people aboard, including the pilot, the co-pilot, Lapierre, and his family members, were killed in the crash.

The incident is being investigated.

Air Transat Plane Returns to Montreal due to Hydraulic Problem

Air TransatAir Transat flight TS-436 had to return and make an emergency landing in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on March 18th.

The Airbus A330-300 took off for Cancun, Mexico, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an indication of low hydraulic quantity.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 366 passengers and 12 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

Air Inuit Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Canada due to Hydraulic Problem

Air InuitAn Air Inuit plane had to return and make an emergency landing at Kuujjuaq Airport, Quebec, Canada, on March 9.

The de Havilland Dash 8, flying from Quebec to Nuuk, Greenland, was halfway when the crew detected some problem with its hydraulic system, prompting it to return.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All passengers and crew members on board remained safe.

Westjet Flight Diverts to Saskatoon

WestJetWestjet flight WS-217 made an emergency landing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on November 27.

The Boeing 737-800, heading from Montreal, Québec, to Calgary, Alberta, when the crew noticed an electrical burning odor and decided to divert to Saskatoon.

The plane landed safely. There were 115 people aboard at the time; none of them were harmed.

Trans States Airlines Plane Returns to Canada due to Smoke in Cockpit

american airlinesTrans States Airlines flight AX-4151/AA-4151 had to return and make an emergency landing at Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, Montreal, Québec, Canada, on November 24.

The Embraer ERJ-145, flying to New York on behalf of American Airlines, had to return due to smoke in cockpit.

The plane landed safely.

All 25 passengers and 3 crew members remained unhurt.

Jazz Flight Diverts to Canada due to Smoke in Cockpit

jazzJazz flight QK-8833 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, Canada, on November 21.

The Canadair CRJ-100, en-route from Moncton, Canada, to Montreal, Canada, had to divert due to smoke in its cockpit.

The plane landed safely.

All 22 people aboard remained unhurt.

Cessna Makes Emergency Landing at Quebec Highway

CessnaA Cessna 150L made an emergency landing at Highway 640 west in Mascouche, Quebec, shortly after 10 a.m. on August 8.

The plane, which took off from Mascouche Airport earlier, experienced engine failure due to which it had to land on the highway at Chemin des Anglais. According to Quebec Provincial Police Sgt. Ronald McInnis, “The plane bumped a car when attempting to land on the highway, but no injuries have been reported.”

No one, including the pilot, reported any injuries.

Quebec Provincial Police suspended traffic on the highway for some time because of the emergency landing.

The Cessna 150L is registered to Carol Lavoie, Justin Lavoie, and Kevin Lavoie, from Lorraine, Quebec.
