    Who: 124 passengers and 11 crew
    Why: On landing at Tegucigalpa, the A320 overran the runway of Tegucigalpa Toncontin Airport’s runway 2. The crash occurred in bad weather. Overrunning the runway, the plane continued to crash into a store and cars.

    Air Niugini Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cabin Pressure Problems

    Air Niugini flight PX-2006 had to return and make an emergency landing in Brisbane, Australia, on April 10th.

    The Boeing 737-300 freighter plane took off for Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, but had to turn back due to issues with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed back uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    What: Scandinavian Canadair CRJ-900 en route from Copenhagen to Birmingham England
    Where: Copenhagen
    When: Nov 1st 2009
    Who: not available
    Why: While en route, the flight experienced an issue with their hydraulics. The plane made an emergency landing back in Copenhagen, where the left engine underwent repairs.

    Passengers boarded an alternative plane and resumed their flight to Birmingham.

    ANA Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

    ANAAll Nippon Airways flight NH-248 made an emergency landing in Fukuoka, Japan, on November 6th.

    The plane took off for Tokyo, Japan, but had to turn back due to a hydraulic leak.

    The plane landed safely. There were 416 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    American Eagle Emergency Landing

    What: American Eagle flying from St. Louis to Minneapolis
    Where: Quad Cities International Airport, Rock Island County, Illinois,
    When: Saturday night
    Who: 23 passengers and 3 crew members
    Why: 20 minutes after takeoff, smoke appeared from behind the cockpit and filled the cabin with smoke. Passengers were transferred to a Northwest flight that left the airport at six Saturday night.

    Lufthansa Flight Returns to Munich due to Unusual Odor in Cockpit

    Lufthansa flight LH-2414 had to return and make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on June 29th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Stockholm, Sweden, but had to turn back due to an unusual odor in the cockpit.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
