    Mexico Police Air Crash Kills 3

    What: Policía Federal Rockwell-Gulfstream 695 Jetprop Commander 980
    Where: El Refugio en el Municipio de Acatic, Mexico
    When: Feb 21, 2012, 21:00 pm
    Who: 3 aboard, 3 fatalities
    Why: In the town of Refugio Padrone, the Jetprop Commander 980 crashed. The names of the three victims have not been released.

    State Unit of Civil Protection and Fire Jalisco (UEPCBJ), the Attorney General of the State (PGJE) are investigating.

    Texas Piper Crash

    What: Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche en route from Amarillo to Port Mansfield
    Where: Port Mansfield
    When: Dec 10, 2009
    Who: 2 aboard; names not released at time of initial report
    Why: Two fishermen en route to a weekend fishing expedition were in the Piper that disappeared from radar at 10:30 Thursday night and crashed in Port Mansfield.

    The remains found of 48-year-old Robert James Robinett of Sunray, Texas were found in Gulf waters.

    Reportedly, the pilot was Harvey Kinikin of Amarillo. The plane is registered to James M. Scroggin of Arkansas.

    Southwest Airlines Plane Lands Safely in Kansas City with Cracked Windshield

    Southwest Airlines flight WN-718 suffered a cracked windshield on the way to Kansas City, Missouri, on November 28th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane flying from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, was descending toward Kansas City when the captain’s windshield cracked.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Ukranian Cargo Plane Crashes in Egypt

    What: Ukrainian Russian-made Antonov An-12 cargo plane [registration# S9-SVN] crashed during takeoff en route from Entebbe, Uganda to the Ukraine, on it’s way to Nikolaev, an avia-repair plant
    Where: Luxor, Egypt
    When: Friday Feb. 20, 2009
    Who: – Five crew members died
    Why: On liftoff, the plane slammed to the tarmac, then slid down and off the runway and hundreds of feet from the runway burst into flames. The plane had a full tank.

    The crew included one person from Russia, two from Belarus and two from the Ukraine. The plane’s black box data recorder were recovered.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    Delta Airlines flight DL-6024 made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on January 4th.

    The plane heading from Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina, to Boston, Massachusetts, was diverted due to a fire indication.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
