    China Eastern Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Nanchang

    China Eastern Airlines flight MU-5257 made an emergency landing in Nanchang, China, on December 4th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Qingdao to Guangzhou, China, was diverted after the passenger oxygen masks were automatically deployed, without any indication of a cabin pressure problem.

    Portland-Bound Alaska Airlines Plane Diverts to Eugene Airport

    wings of alaskaAlaska airlines flight 2151 had to make an emergency landing at Eugene Airport, Oregon, on November 17.

    The plane, heading from Seattle to Portland, had to be diverted after the pilot reported a mechanical issue.

    The plane landed safely. There were 52 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a bus that took passengers to Portland.

    Aer Lingus Flight Diverts to Dublin Due to Hydraulic Issues

    Aer Lingus flight EI-896 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Dublin, Ireland, on July 26th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Cork, Ireland, to Faro, Portugal, was diverted due to hydraulic issues.

    Asiana Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Seoul

    Asiana Airlines flight OZ-204 had to return and make an emergency landing in Seoul, South Korea, on July 8th.

    The Airbus A350-900 plane took off for Los Angeles, California, but had to turn back after the crew received indication of abnormal tire pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All three hundred and seven people aboard remained unharmed.

    What: Australian Jetstar (division of Qantas) Airbus A330-200 en route from Japan to Australia (Osaka Kansai to Bilinga Gold Coast)
    Where: emergency landing on the island of Guam
    When: June 10th
    Who: 203 mostly Japanese passengers and crew
    Why: When a fire broke out in the cockpit when the plane was over the Pacific Ocean, one of the pilots used a fire extinguisher to control the fire.

    Passengers debarked normally.

    The plane is only two years old; and will be held in Guam as the incident is investigated. 4 investigators will be sent to examine the aircraft.

    Rossiya Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

    Rossiya AirlinesRossiya Airlines flight SU-6617 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Rostov, Russia, on November 3rd.
