United Airlines flight UA-76 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on October 24th.
The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Belfast International Airport, United Kingdom, to Newark, New Jersey, was diverted due to an unsafe nose gear indication.
The plane landed safely. There were 121 passengers and 9 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

EasyJet flight EZY5461 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Venice Marco Polo Airport, Italy, on October 10.
The plane, en-route to Heraklion, Greece, from Gatwick Airport, London, UK, had to be diverted after the pilot started feeling ill and lost consciousness mid-air.
The plane landed uneventfully.
No injuries were reported.

Airports are enhancing the pest control measures in order to prevent the spread of Zika virus, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) said in a statement on February 11.
According to the statement, “The management of the outbreak is currently focused on reducing the populations of the Aedes mosquito that transmit the virus at airports (vector control).”
The ICAO also urged the airlines to follow WHO guidelines regarding testing and use of insecticides for the airplanes.

A damaged wing will require inspection before the plane can return to service.
Spicejet issued a statement that the accident was minor.
According to reports, 142 passengers were aboard at the time, many of them quite disturbed by the incident. The collision damaged a wing.
An inquiry has been ordered. Action may be taken against the pilot and those who were directing the pilot. Spicejet’s attitude is that this is a minor incident. That attitude is being interpreted by officials that the safety of passengers is not of primary concern to Spicejet. This may be considered a case of negligence.

On landing, the plane was towed to the gate. No indication is provided on when alternative travel accommodations were provided for passengers.

JetBlue flight 1146 had to make an emergency landing at Charleston International Airport, South Carolina, on November 21st.
The plane took off from Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, Florida, and was heading to Richmond, Virginia, when the crew noticed a mechanical issue and decided to divert.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
