    Small Plane Crashes at Laredo International Airport; 3 Dead

    A small plane crashed at Laredo International Airport, Texas, on March 8th.

    The pilot had reported smoke coming from an engine and was attempting to land back at the airport when the plane went down.

    All three people aboard were killed in the crash.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    Plane-Catering Truck Collision Injures a Flight Attendant at Dubai Airport

    An Emirates flight catering truck collided with a Urals Airline Airbus A320 at the Dubai International Airport, resulting in flight attendant Marina Zhelyamova getting injured. None of the 128 passengers were injured.

    According to media reports, the plane was about to take off for Russia when the catering truck smashed into its tail. The collision made the female flight attendant to fall out through the open door.

    Marina Zhelyamova was immediately taken to the hospital with a concussion, and later had surgery.

    Allegiant Air Allegedly Fires Pilot for Making Emergency Landing

    AllegiantA pilot’s union claims that the pilot of the Allegiant Air flight 864 that made an emergency landing at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, Florida, on June 8 has been fired.

    The pilot decided to make an emergency landing due to reports of smoke in the Maryland-bound aircraft’s cabin. Four passengers and a crew member sustained minor injuries while exiting through evacuation slides.

    The airline told the FAA that the mechanics could not find any problem in the aircraft.

    The president of the Airline Professionals Association Teamsters Local 1224, Dan Wells, said, “Believe me, the message was intentional and loud and clear: Don’t you dare push the safety stuff too far.”

    American Airlines Rejects Takeoff in Florida after Fuel Leak; 24 Injured

    The Airbus A320-200 was taking off for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when the crew reported a fuel leakage.

    The flight was cancelled. The passengers were disembarked via slides.

    A flight attendant and 23 passengers complained about neck and back injuries, burning eyes, itchy skin and breathing difficulties. The injured were taken to hospitals.

    Centurion Air Cargo Plane Drops Engine Cowl During Take off

    The Boeing 747-400 plane departed for Amsterdam, Netherlands, but dropped an engine cowl during take off, prompting the crew to turn back.
