Qatar Airways flight QR-240 had to return and make an emergency landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Turkey, on August 18th.
The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Doha, Qatar, but had to return shortly afterwards after its engine ingested a bird.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

What: Boeing 757-200, G-LSAA operating a Charter flight LS2113 en route from Manchester Airport to Taba, Egypt
Where: Athens
When: Monday afternoon Mar 2 at 3:40 p.m
Who: about 192 passengers
Why: The flight made “a controlled, rapid descent” when the pilot noted a problem with the cabin air pressure. About half a dozen passengers–including a child–were taken for medical evaluation. A Boeing 757-200, G-LSAH from Manchester was sent to pick up the marooned travelers.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-760 made a safe landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, Pakistan, on December 23rd.
The Boeing 777-200 flying from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was approaching the runway when its left hand engine ingested a bird.
The plane landed safely.
All people aboard remained unharmed.
On December 13, 2013, at Amsterdam-Schiphol International Airport, a US Airways (737-8K2) #N202UW was taxiing when it struck a parked Boeing 737-8K2 belonging to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (PH-BXK).
The winglet of the parked plane was knocked off. Both planes sustained damage. There were no reports of injury, but the incident caused passenger delays.

What: Air Canada Airbus A319-100 en route from Calgary to Toronto
Where: Winnipeg
When: Thursday Sept 17 12:03 pm
Who: 121 passengers
Why: While en route, the pilot experienced problems with the left engine and had an indicator light indicating further problems. After declaring an emergency situation, the pilot idled the left engine, and landed safely in Winnipeg a little over half an hour after declaring an emergency.
Southwest Airlines flight WN-1914 had to divert and make an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Illinois, on June 12th.
The Boeing 737-700 flying from Chicago, Illinois, to Connecticut, had to divert due to engine failure.
The plane landed safely.
All one hundred thirty-nine passengers remained safe.
